About Me
Hello! I’m Alok, a Data Science and Applications student at IIT Madras, an aspiring web developer passionate about using technology to drive real-world impact across domains like web tech, machine learning, and education.
My work blends academic rigor with practical innovation—ranging from building Guardian of the Roads, a road safety system powered by real-time simulations and IoT, presented to IAS officers in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to developing an EmergencyCare Dashboard for guiding users to nearby emergency services in multiple indian native languages (Live Site),
In hackathons like HackVortex, UYIR Road Safety Challenge, BuildVerse, and the Appian Challenge, I’ve had the chance to be in the team and craft technical solutions under pressure, focusing on socially relevant problem statements.
I’ve also worked on a House Price Prediction app using regression models to forecast real estate values (Live Demo), and a just-for-fun Tower of Hanoi Visualizer built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to teach algorithmic thinking interactively (Try it out).
I actively compete on platforms like Codeforces (historicAlok) and CodeChef (alokg812) to improve my problem-solving skills, and I enjoy tackling challenges that require both analytical depth and creative design. Whether it’s simplifying complex systems, improving accessibility, or creating engaging tech demos, I’m always exploring how data and code can create meaningful impact.
